Upton Castle Gardens and Medieval Chapel Pembrokeshire

Upton Castle Gardens are one of Pembrokeshire’s hidden gems and a must for gardening enthusiasts or anyone wanting to experience real peace and tranquillity.

An interesting collection of rare trees forms the basis of the Arboretum, amongst which are the large Davidii involucrate (Handkerchief Tree), Fagus heterophylla (Fern Leafed Beech), Cunninghamia, Podocarpus, Liriodendron tulipfera (tulip tree) and the Magnolias to mention a few.

In all there are 18 ‘Champion’ trees in the garden including the massive Taxus baccata (Yew Tree) which is said to be 800 years old.
