The walled garden is 1½ acres and each year it produces plentiful organic fruit and vegetables to feed the family, and be used in the cafe. You might even find some homegrown fruit, vegetables and flowers for sale near the entrance or in Milton Village shop.
Although very overgrown 10 years ago, the wall structure was fortunately still sound. It has now been restored to its former glory and has been put back into vegetable and fruit production, the fruit cage reinstated, the original tile edgings put back wherever possible and a new herb garden constructed.
The historic Georgian walled garden was built in the 18th century when the Tasker family owned Upton Castle. You can see this slice of history and experience all this wonderland has got to offer.
